The poems on this blog are written from my experience of depression. In an ocean of darkness, I find writing to be the lighthouse that guides me to hope.
Some of these poems are written out of the darkness. They are an outlet for the swell of emotions within me; a way of conveying the hopelessness I sometimes feel.
Others are written out of the light. They are borne from the joy of seeing that small bright spot on the horizon swell into a sunrise.
I share them now, hoping that they may help others by letting them know they are not alone and that there is a way out.
I am thankful to God, my family, and my friends who support me through this ongoing journey.
