I am fury
I am rage
You fed me lies
You caused me pain
You wrapped me in chains
Made me live in fear
You pierced me with sorrow
Took everything I held dear
In dark you hide
Afraid of the light
You cast long shadows
In hope of causing fright
But anxiety, you’re weak
You’re pathetic and a liar
I have seen your true form
It’s weedy like a wire
When I take a stand
Against your warnings of woe
You collapse like paper
At a single breath’s blow
Now your taunts
Are nothing but hot air
They’ll warm my hands
As I reach for heights I hadn’t dared
