Sitting in the gloom
Dampness all around
Saved from certain death
But still far from safe ground
We’ve seen the dark depths
That our choices had us headed
A watery prison of filth
With all the consequences we dreaded
The mercy of forgiveness
The sternness of correction
The humbling of our hearts
To turn to the right direction
Finally we return to dry land
By God’s immeasurable grace
We follow His path of renewal
Leaving the destruction of old ways
The Whale’s Belly
