Doesn’t anyone want to know
What I have inside?
Is there anyone in this earth
With who I can share my mind?
Why am I always
On the outside of the circle?
Forced to earn acceptance
By climbing over hurdles
Deep inside of me
Thrashed ideas and words
They bellowed in rage at me
That they were not being heard
I tried to leave clues
Leave the door on latch
Leave out a fishing rod
To see if anyone would catch
I had to find acceptance
From within myself
And to treasure the relationships
That picked me up when I fell
And I found a willing listener
A blank sheet of paper
And so I poured out my suffering
In this heart-wrenching endeavour
Doesn’t Anyone Care?
