He fought fearsome foes
In abandoned castles of dark
Ignored the melancholic whispers
That clawed at his heart
He crossed bleak landscapes
Scaled rivers and fjords
Wrestled with bears
And fought obsidian swords
He subdued dragons
And outwitted sorcerers
To the poor and orphans
He gave up his last morsels
Who is this man, you ask
What kind of hero is this?
To face such foes alone
In the darkness of an abyss?
It’s anyone who stands
Against the opponents in the mind
Anyone who dares
Their darkest fears to defy
Castles of Dark
