Golden Day

Once in a while
I have a golden day
When the dark clouds are shattered
By a sudden sun ray

When the only weight
That rests on my head
Is a radiant crown
Not that wreath of dread

When my weeping heart
Makes a different sound
As a harmony of serendipity
Is suddenly found

These are the days
That I treasure inside
The small, green saplings
The hints of my new life
