The prince honoured blame
With a throne seat
Held on to grudges
And to the bitterness of defeat
He had been wronged
And it had to be acknowledged
But he used it as an excuse
Instead of using his courage
So he crowned bitterness
As the chief emotion
He revelled in it
And drank its poison
It rotted his world
And stagnated his dreams
And he realised that this
Would not bring back his queen
So he took the crown
From its gnarled head
And crowned hope
As his king instead
