By the fire
Is this a rebirth
Or a funeral pyre?
Is this where a phoenix
Rises from the flames?
Or where slimy eggs
Unleash dragons untamed?
Will the fire scorch me
Reduce me to ash?
Will black crows gather
To cackle and laugh?
Will I survive
To see a rising dawn
Or was this sacrifice
All for naught?
